Covid 19 News & Updates

17/07/2021 - Covid Case Update

Please read letter below for our Covid guidance received by Public Health England regarding multiple confirmed cases within Nursery School. If your child has been in close contact with the confirmed case you should have received a separate email or telephone call regarding required self-isolation and dates that this starts and ends.

Whilst not all children will need to isolate a significant number of staff will need to and so unfortunately, this means we cannot safely open adhering to safeguarding guidelines even with cover staff.  Therefore, the school will close on the last two days of term Monday 19th July and Tuesday 20th July 2021.

Please see letter below on full details of school closure.

Dear Parents and Carers

Just to update you in terms of the positive test result we received at 7am yesterday.  We have been advised by PHE that due to timeframes we do not need to advise you to self-isolate.  The buildings and outdoor areas are being deep cleaned ready for a full return on Monday providing that there are no further positive cases and no transmission within school.

Thank you for your support. If you need anything just let us know.

SCHOOL CLOSURE (17/06/2021): We have received confirmation of a positive coronavirus test at the school. Please do not attend nursery or preschool today whilst we follow public health advice. We will send further information shortly. Thank you

17/06/2021 - Update

Thank you all for your response this morning to our situation where we received a positive test. We have taken swift action and would like to advise you all to be extra vigilant and careful given the new variant guidelines and Birmingham inclusion in the higher risk areas recently released for the Delta variant. This is spreading more easily than the other variants, so we are having a full deep clean of the whole preschool building and would advise you all to follow the guidance for high-risk areas found below;

Providing there are no more positive results we will re-open on Monday as usual. Please ensure you report any positive test results or symptoms to us immediately. Can we please advise you that the two metre rule and face masks must be followed when dropping your child off at school and you must refer to local health advise for your area to remain safe.
